Biography:
Sinestro, from DC Comics, first appeared in *Green Lantern* #7 (July-August 1961). He's known primarily for his complex relationship with the Green Lantern Corps.
Initially, Sinestro was considered the greatest of all Green Lanterns, a mentor to Hal Jordan. He maintained peace in his sector with an iron fist, believing that fear was a more effective tool than willpower.
His methods eventually led to his expulsion from the Green Lantern Corps. He was then exiled to the antimatter universe. There, he forged a yellow power ring, fueled by fear, becoming a major adversary to the Green Lanterns.
